| Give this race 5 stars!!! Nice group of friendly folks, some fast, some slow and every other speed possible. You w.ill find this a fantastic race to set a PR (I didn't detect any hills), enjoy a great race or to meet other local runners. The park is really beautiful. Mostly shaded and all hard surfaces (did I mention fast?). The course is interesting and you can see (and exchange encouragements) with lots of runners both ahead and behind you!
Google Berry Springs Park and you'll be there in less than 5 minutes from the freeway. The cost is certainly affordable. All together a very pleasant experience!!! |

| I ran Vern's 5K on 6/19/2010 for the first time. But it won't be my last! There was a nice turn-out of about one-hundred people. The race coordinators were helpful and friendly. The course itself was nearly all concrete, with short stretches of gravel. The terrain was mostly flat with a few moderate hills. Berry Springs Park is a very nice venue for a race. And you can't beat the one dollar fee, which is donated to Wilco Parks and Recreation anyway! |

| I'm a sophmore and this was my first time running a 5K in a long time. I absolutely LOVED the course and all of the friendly people and beautiful scenery at the Berry Springs Park in Georgetown. |

| Fun race, great course, great location.... And only a dollar. I'm tired of getting awards anyway, so I'll be back often. |
